Primary Functions:

The primary function of this position is to serve as the subject matter content expert regarding professional upskilling and leadership development programs. A collaborative thought partner for functional learning & development programs. This position will work collaboratively to bring new ideas to execution by designing, developing, and implementing development initiatives to up skill the organization, working across the various business functions and within HR. The successful candidate will apply their thought leadership, content expertise, effective project management and facilitation skills to successfully oversee, design, and deliver core skills curriculums, talent programs and business change initiatives. The candidate is expected to have a successful track record of collaborating across all levels of leadership when designing and or acquiring development programs. The Learning and Development Program Manager will continue to enhance and drive Bentley Systems purpose driven culture, ensuring a positive and thriving work environment.
Basic Qualifications:

A highly effective Learning and Development Program Manager will be a creative problem solver, comfortable with ambiguity, a highly effective communicator, and collaborative thought partner. They are experienced in taking new ideas and driving them to execution and take initiative to complete tasks and projects quickly and autonomously. They will draw on a full array of learning and consulting skills that enable them to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment. The scope for this role is professional upskilling, manager, and leadership development. The ideal candidate would possess a demonstrated track record in designing, developing, and facilitating development programs, all while serving as a subject matter expert in the content. They should possess a well-documented history of earning the trust and confidence of senior leaders within the organization and be highly knowledgeable in adult learning theories. Demonstrated experience in procuring leadership development programs tailored to front line leaders to executive-level audiences.
Position Responsibilities
:

  • Design and create an approach for professional upskilling, manager development, and leadership programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with in-depth experience in content design and creation.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and functions to develop shared understanding of the learning and performance needs, as a result provide strategic alignment and governance for enterprise-wide development programs.
  • Curate learning paths and experiences to meet just in time learning needs.
  • Programs manage and continuously improve existing training initiatives, define, and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop and design engaging and relevant learning solutions that align with business needs for large training events and individual training utilizing various delivery methods including instructor-led, experiential, job-aids, and self-study, e-Learning, video, gamification, blended and mobile-compatible.
  • Create and manage training content and relevant materials that drive a highly experiential and applied learning experience.
  • Implement effective learning and development methodologies and best practices, for both virtual and in person training experiences.
  • Lead and facilitate live and virtual training delivery.
  • Create and implement training evaluation methodologies.
  • Utilize training best practices, systems, and tools.

Education/Certifications and/or Required Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in human resources or organizational development, Business, or another related field.
  • Eight or more years progressive experience in Learning and Development, including developing content based on Core Adult Learning Theory and Methodology.
  • Committed to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion both on the team and through the training you develop.
  • Strong Time Management, Organizational and Change Management Skills.
  • Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented; demands and delivers high quality work products.
  • Technical Skills: MS Office and Authoring Tools (Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Self-starter, able to build programs from the ground up.
  • Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, rapid change; an experimenter by nature.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills; Articulate Speaking and Presentation Abilities.
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
