Summary
We are looking for a Senior Landscape Designer to join our team! The Senior Landscape Designer will lead high-impact projects and guide our design team with creativity and expertise. This role combines design leadership, client relationship management, and business development, with a focus on innovation and process improvement. You'll collaborate with clients, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in shaping our design direction and team growth.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage landscape design projects from conceptual design through to construction and project completion, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for design-related inquiries, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering long-term relationships
Take a proactive role in business development, identifying new opportunities, networking with potential and previous clients, and contributing to the growth of the company
Lead and mentor junior designers, providing guidance on design strategies, project workflows and professional development
Conduct project take-offs, estimating material quantities, labour, and costs to develop accurate project proposals and cost estimates
Facilitate client meetings to ensure alignment between client expectations and design vision
Continuously improve internal design processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and implementing best practices to enhance the team's productivity
Collaborate with project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery
Stay up to date with industry trends, sustainable design practices, and local regulations to ensure all designs adhere to the latest standards

Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proven experience in leading and managing design teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring project success.
Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit considered an asset
Experience in business development, including client relationship management, networking, and contributing to company growth.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sustainable, and functional landscape designs across various project types.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with clients, contractors, and team members.
Strong project management skills, including experience in project take-offs, budgeting, and estimating costs.
Knowledge of local landscape design regulations, sustainability guidelines, and industry best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
