Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and team-oriented Senior Kindergarten Assistant to support our lead educators in delivering a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, demonstrate patience, and be committed to supporting children's emotional, academic, and social growth in alignment with Montessori principles and the Ontario Curriculum.

As part of our dynamic educational team, the Senior Kindergarten Assistant will work under the direction of the lead teacher " Sr. Kindergarten Teacher" to help implement lesson plans, supervise classroom activities, and contribute to maintaining a calm, prepared environment for learning.

We are only considering applicants currently residing in Canada and willing to relocate to the school's location in Mississauga, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist the lead teacher in delivering daily activities and lessons, particularly in literacy, numeracy, art, and group projects. Supervise and support children during individual and group work, ensuring safety, participation, and respectful behavior. Help maintain a clean, organized, and prepared Montessori classroom environment. Provide individualized attention to students who may need extra support, reinforcing concepts introduced by the lead teacher. Foster independence, responsibility, and social skills in children by encouraging appropriate behavior and conflict resolution. Support children during transitions, snack/lunch time, and outdoor play. Communicate effectively and professionally with the teaching team and parents as needed. Assist with classroom documentation, preparation of materials, and daily tidying. Adhere to school policies and Montessori principles in daily interactions and routines.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Early Childhood Education Assistant certificate, RECE diploma, or equivalent experience (Montessori assistant training is an asset). Experience working with young children in a classroom setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive, team-oriented attitude. Demonstrated ability to be patient, flexible, and responsive to young children's needs. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening. Medical certificate of good health (upon request). Valid First Aid & CPR certification (preferred).
