As a Senior Java Developer, you\'ll collaborate with a skilled team to construct scalable systems. Your role involves overseeing precise tax calculations and providing support to the Restaurant and Courier financial services teams, ensuring smooth weekly earnings processing.

What\xe2\x80\x99s On Your Plate:

Oversee product functionality, ensuring the upkeep of existing services while introducing new ones.

Pioneer innovative solutions to challenges.

Collaborate within a team, providing mentorship to fellow members.

Contribute to and uphold established patterns and processes.

Implement best practices to enhance products, services, or processes.

Identify improvements, assess risks versus benefits, and translate them into technical requirements.

Prioritize unit tests and code reviews as fundamental pillars\xe2\x80\x94our confidence in pull requests stems from these practices

Recipe for Success:

Key ingredients:

A robust background in software engineering, covering data structures, design patterns, testing, and debugging.

Proficiency in Java\'s OOP, including advanced features like lambdas and streaming capabilities.

Extensive experience in developing, consuming, and creating RESTful web services.

Proficiency in system logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Graphite, and CloudWatch

Previous exposure to diverse data persistence methods, including relational databases like MySQL, unstructured data, and caching mechanisms.

Knowledge and practice of CI/CD best practices using tools such as Jenkins, along with skill in Docker containers.

Hands-on experience in microservices architecture, serverless development, and cloud computing.

Familiarity and practical understanding of message brokers (SNS/SQS) and AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB/RDS, Elasticache, Elasticsearch).

Capability to implement high-quality patterns and practices in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Optional toppings:

Demonstrate self-initiative by generating innovative ideas, enhancing organizational and technical proficiency, and refining current processes and solutions autonomously.

Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-a-Code deployments, ideally with expertise in Terraform.

Hands-on experience in Event-Driven Architecture.

Familiarity with Hexagon Architecture, alongside similar paradigms like Onion or Clean Architecture
