Job Description

Job Title: Senior Java Backend Engineer - Insurance & GCP
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Duration: 06 Months

Required Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns
Proficient in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with RESTful API development and integration
Knowledge of relational databases like MySQL
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Strong understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework
Skilled in using Agile tools like JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Exposure to the Property and Auto insurance business domain
Knowledge of Guidewire
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
