Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO, ) is an Integrated Youth Services (IYS) initiative designed to address the service gaps in the youth mental health and substance use sectors in Ontario. YWHO supports local service providers to work together in a new way, providing young people in Ontario aged 12 to 25 with access to a full range of integrated services that support their individual needs, including mental health and substance use supports, primary care, education, employment, housing and other social services in one youth-friendly space.
Outcomes are rigorously evaluated within and across hubs focusing on positive outcomes in areas of wellness important to youth and their families. This initiative engages youth, family/caregivers and other partners through a co-creation process, ensuring services are designed and delivered according to their needs. YWHO's IYS model is designed to improve experiences and outcomes for youth by:

• Increasing access to rapid, low-barrier services;

• Reducing transitions by providing care in one location; and

• Providing tailored, high-quality programs co-developed with youth to meet their needs.

YWHO is currently comprised of 32 local hubs (or YWHO Networks) that provide services to youth and families in over 40 communities, as well as a Provincial Office (PO) situated within the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) that provides support to all of these YWHO Networks across the following key areas: implementation, operations, data and evaluation, youth and family engagement, equity, knowledge mobilization, communications, and more.
Position Description
The YWHO Provincial Office at CAMH is seeking a full-time, permanent Implementation Specialist, Indigenous Wellness Initiatives. The Implementation Specialist will report to the Manager of Equity and Engagement, and work closely with the Manager of Site Implementation, Integration and Implementation Leads, Equity and Engagement team, and the Implementation team at the YWHO PO. The Implementation Specialist will also collaborate across all teams (Knowledge Mobilization, Evaluation, Equity, and Research). The Implementation Specialist, Indigenous Wellness Initiatives will play a key role in supporting deliverables of an Integrated Youth Services (IYS) delivery model within local YWHO networks. The Implementation Specialist will also provide guidance and coaching to support collaborative approaches to apply a health equity lens to implementation models, content expertise and evidence-based tools and practices with internal staff, external organizations, and other partners.
The successful candidate will be required to bring specific capacities and expertise in the areas of youth and family engagement, service provider engagement, co-development, coaching, and systems change within Indigenous communities, along with applied knowledge of implementation science, quality improvement, and change management practices. The successful candidate will also have a strong background in anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice, excellent knowledge of equity frameworks and tools, and significant experience supporting others to identify, prioritize, and develop equity-focused actions that advance meaningful and sustained change. The Implementation Specialist supports the active involvement of Indigenous communities and service providers in all stages of implementation, providing tailored and contextualized support at an agency and system level.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Applying and integrating evidence-informed approaches to change such as Implementation Science, Quality Improvement and service/system design to support system stakeholders to adopt new practices.
• Provide expertise and advice related to equity, anti-racism, and anti-oppression to strengthen internal YWHO practices to support the implementation and evaluation of the YWHO model across sites.
• Develop and support strategies to promote an ongoing learning culture for integrating equity into implementation science and quality improvement frameworks (e.g., workshop coordination, lunch & learns, Community of Practice, provide support/ consultation to YWHO sites).
• Understand and review trends, monitoring and evaluating data, to identify gaps and opportunities to strengthen equitable service delivery into program and project planning for the YWHO program
• Identifying, engaging, and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders to develop a shared understanding and vision.
• Developing an understanding of the local mental health and substance use system in order to support contextualized implementation.
• Co-developing, facilitating and establishing direction, objectives, and consensus across diverse partners, including youth, family members, Knowledge keepers, Elders, staff, and service providers.
• Assisting teams (internal and external) with implementing practice and/or system change through facilitation, problem solving, focused capacity building, consensus building, decision making and conflict resolution.
• Assessing needs and coordinating capacity building for project members.
• Developing project implementation plans, processes and tools based on evidence informed implementation approaches, utilizing Implementation Science as a foundational approach.
• Provide coaching to multiple levels of organizational staff using strength-based problem solving, active listening, motivational interviewing, modeling, and other coaching strategies.
• Building and supporting the capacity of organizations/agencies to support sustainable and effective change.
• Supporting the implementation of improvement cycles across and within organizations

The YWHO Provincial Office at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) supports a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable standards and requirements. This position will be in Ontario, anywhere outside of the GTA.
This position requires the incumbent to be First Nations, Inuit or Metis. Bachelor's degree required (e.g., in Social Work, Indigenous studies, public health, psychology) and/or equivalent and relevant experience. The successful candidate will have at least three (3) years' experience in the field of Indigenous health promotion/prevention, Indigenous community health and/or mental health and substance use services or other related Indigenous health services; in addition to:

• Thorough understanding of principles and practices of Indigenous youth and family engagement is required in addition to advisory and committee work experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities, cultures, perspectives and health service providers.
• Experience with youth and family engagement, including advisory and committee work.
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, produce, and coordinate projects to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and leadership in collaborative partnerships and experience facilitating or contributing to strategic planning processes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work on a team, as well as function independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication (oral/written), community engagement, and creative problem-solving abilities are required.
• Experience working within an Implementation Science framework or other evidence informed implementation or quality improvement frameworks.
• Demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, inclusivity, respect and social justice.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario's mental health and addiction system/services. Experience in assisting teams with system change initiatives through facilitation, problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution.
• Ability to translate various kinds of data, research and grey literature to non-academic target audiences. Demonstrated skills and commitment to data-driven/evidence-informed decision making.
• Bilingualism (French/English) and/or the ability to speak an Indigenous language is also considered an asset.

A valid license, access to vehicle, and ability to drive as regular travel across Ontario is required as related to program assignments. The position is primarily remote and to be eligible, the candidate must be located anywhere outside of the GTA.
