Reporting to the Director - Finance & Administration, the Senior IT Technical Support providestechnical support toall areas of the business, including the Warehouse, Head Office, and retail stores. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for all activities related to the operation of all desktops and laptops including operational support. Manages activities relating to the network and computer room in conjunction with an MSP . Performs system analysis and optimization, configuration, and capacity planning. Audits the operating efficiency of computer systems and the validity of their internal controls. Controls security access and disaster prevention and recovery. Monitors, enforces, and reports on network security procedures and policies. Support, troubleshoot, and monitor the entire infrastructure services comprising of an on-premises Server, Share Point site, firewall, VPN, Email (M365), AD and Network Security and Disaster Recovery Role & Responsibilities Administration: \xc2\xb7 Responsible for meeting budget goals and objectives. \xc2\xb7 Projects software and hardware requirements. \xc2\xb7 Develops standards for all operating systems and hardware. \xc2\xb7 Presents information to management which may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and communications equipment. \xc2\xb7 Attends QBRs quarterly business reviews with MSSP and provides summary report to management. \xc2\xb7 Maintains Olsen IT Incident Response Plan and reviews and updates annually as required. Creates, maintains and updates as required, documentation for Olsen IT administration procedures. \xc2\xb7 Creates, maintains, and updates as required, employee IT \xe2\x80\x9chow-to\xe2\x80\x99\xe2\x80\x9d documents. Hardware: Responsible for the provisioning, installation, and maintenance of all computer hardware (computers, cell phones, printers, etc). Studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the organization\xe2\x80\x99s business needs. Resolves problems with new and existing equipment. Controls ordering of all computer hardware and supplies and maintains inventory of the same. Desktop Services & Store Support \xc2\xb7 Responsible for End User Support and Training \xc2\xb7 Level 1 to Level 3 support for POS software and hardware. \xc2\xb7 Support Olsen head office and head office warehouse, infrastructure, and desktop support for Olsen stores utilizing RMM software. Application Support \xc2\xb7 Is involved in the investigation and analysis of specific business requirements and user needs, to establish the suitability of an IT solution. \xc2\xb7 Manages the testing and delivery of suitable solutions and application upgrades according to agreed specifications that add business value to products and services with budget and time constraints. \xc2\xb7 Assist in NetSuite ERP and NSPOS including performing trouble shooting and provisioning. COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, TRAITS) AND QUALIFICATIONS \xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar position and working with help desk support issues. \xc2\xb7 Exceptional customer service and communication skills \xc2\xb7 Proven history of effectively documenting processes \xc2\xb7 Experience using a ticketing system for monitoring support calls. \xc2\xb7 Extensive working knowledge of workstation and server hardware, peripherals, network hardware, communications software/services \xc2\xb7 Ability to apply technology in a hands-on manner \xc2\xb7 Previous experience with NetSuite express writing is a definite asset \xc2\xb7 Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills \xc2\xb7 Highly motivated, results oriented, and customer service driven \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of retail and retail technology is a definite asset \xc2\xb7 Experience focusing on user software test/evaluation/operational methodology in a networked environment is strongly preferred \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated success in a multi-tasking, deadline-oriented environment with ability to prioritize decisions accurately Olsen offers a hybrid work from home program.
