Lead complex investigations, primarily into criminal concerns involving fraud.
Your work will be relied on as key information for internal decision-making and in civil and criminal law matters. This position is designated bilingual (English and French), and the successful candidate must be able to communicate in both of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s official languages.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

  • Plan, conduct and report on investigations
  • Collect and preserve evidence while ensuring chain of custody
  • Document investigations and provide expertise in criminal and law enforcement matters
  • Support FCC Customer Diligence Centre in investigations, including working with other areas to obtain data and analytics
  • Collaborate with other departments, external law enforcement and industry peer groups to ensure useful exchanges of information
  • Support other areas within FCC, including providing anti-fraud education, coaching, information and advice

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need:
  • A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, finance or police studies, a designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner, and at least five years of commercial crime experience with a financial institution, police force at progressively higher levels of responsibility, or senior security posts (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of investigation techniques and reporting best practices
  • Knowledge of the judiciary system, both criminal and civil processes, and rules of admissibility of evidence
  • Thorough knowledge of criminal, federal and provincial statutes and regulations in all jurisdictions across Canada is an asset.
