The Senior Inventory Manager is a key role in the success of the Metro Supply Chain. This role manages a team of 10 Inventory Managers on the Grocery Replenishment team of 20, responsible for managing an average inventory of 3.8 million cases per week, valued over $100,000,000. This role is also responsible for maintaining the integrity of Grocery Replenishment information in SAP. It requires a comprehensive understanding of both the SAP system and the company\'s supply chain network. The incumbent requires a superior ability to plan, organize, direct, manage, collaborate, and implement the inventory management policies of the organization.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages a portion of the Grocery Replenishment team of 20, ensuring all responsibilities are fulfilled, providing guidance, development, support, and training. Is responsible for recruitment and performance management
- Collaborates with Merchandising and DC Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managers to ensure efficient execution of multiple promotional programs. Communicates special merchandising logistical requirements or DC limitations and assists with finding resolution or compromise.
- Acts as a liaison between Replenishment, Distribution Centres, Merchandising, Business & Store Services and Accounting
- Is the Replenishment SAP Super user, subject matter expert and the key contact between Ontario Replenishment and IT Support in Laval
- Responsible for establishing best practices and managing the collaboration of inventory between provinces. Liaison between Ontario and Metro Quebec & Jean Coutu Replenishment teams.
- Is responsible for defining, refining, and ensuring compliance to business practices as they apply to Replenishment
- Responsible for reviewing and testing all new processes and/or system changes as related to Replenishment. Evaluate and identify risk to mitigate impact to Replenishment and other areas of the business.
- Responsible for maintaining integrity of the SAP buying system as it relates to Replenishment. Ability to identify system issues and proactively work with IT, Distribution, Accounting or Business Services to expedite resolution.
- Maintains an excellent working knowledge of SAP, EXE and Witron systems
- Undertakes all special projects within the company that require the participation of Grocery Replenishment, providing subject matter expertise, best practices, and collaboration.
- Oversees all major transitions as related to Replenishment including DSD transitions, Automated Warehousing and Supply Chain Integration.
- Is a key participant and critical in Crisis Management as it relates to Replenishment
- Replaces and performs responsibilities in the Director\'s absence
- Performs all personnel related functions for Inventory Managers, including performance reviews, salary reviews, and hiring
- Manages several tasks through multiple week timelines to satisfy the needs of several diverse merchandising programs in multiple distribution centresQUALIFICATIONS:
- Post Secondary education. Degree in business administration, supply chain management, analytics, engineering, or related subject is an asset.

- Task completion in a timely fashion is imperative despite numerous interruptions caused by inquires
- Strong critical/analytical thinking with a superior ability to trouble shoot, establish resources and pinpoint solutions to system related issuesRELATIONSHIPS:
- Provides results to and receives direction from Director and Vice President.
- Communicates orally and through correspondence on a regular basis with Replenishment, Merchandising, Distribution Centre, Corporate Brands, IT, and Store/Business Services personnel across all banners.
- Communicates orally and through written correspondence with Quebec Replenishment and IT team.
