The Opportunity



We're looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to support audits that help improve operational efficiency and strengthen our risk and compliance practices. Reporting to the AVP, Compliance & Risk Management, this role will assist in evaluating internal controls, governance, and risk management processes using a structured and guided approach. This role offers a unique opportunity for growth, with the potential to evolve into leading our internal audit function as the successful candidate develops within the organization.

What You'll Be Doing



Support various phases of internal audits by assisting with planning, walkthroughs, documentation, and status updates, under close guidance from TMHCC Internal Audit and external service providers. Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive audit program for each of the businesses within the organization. Conduct efficient and effective risk assessments with high complexity. Develop accurate, meaningful and complete audit work papers and draft reports that adequately support audit findings and document work performed. Develop issue-based reports based on audit points, summarize findings and recommendations, and discuss with the audited business or department. Validates communication of audit issues with Audit and client management. Suggest recommendations on ways to improve audit work processes. Supports annual TM Group control self-assessment project by coordinating and delivering operating unit responses, including gathering supporting documentation supporting compliance Take active role in implementation of new projects involving internal audit and maintenance of quarterly controls self-assessment system. Conduct control walkthroughs with operating unit staff to document controls, their effectiveness and confirm controls are operating effectively.

Who You Are



You're a detail-oriented professional with a strong interest in internal audit and a desire to grow your skills. You bring curiosity, analytical thinking, and clear communication to support audit activities, contribute to control assessments, and help improve processes across the organization.

You bring:



A Bachelor's Degree within Business Administration, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience. 3+ years of audit experience, ideally in the insurance or banking industry. CPA designation (required). Strong knowledge of MS Office. Possess and have ability to apply advanced knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures. Strong written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Excellent organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment. Excellent time management skills. Openness to leverage emerging technologies such as MS Co-Pilot. Openness to work toward obtaining a Certified Internal Auditor designation. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, driving for results. Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
