This includes working closely with other Cybersecurity Analysts using combined knowledge of security devices, system administration, security operations processes, and incident management to help support delivery and execution of OMERS Cybersecurity Plan.RESPONSIBILITIES:Compliance / Incident & Audit Reporting:Identifies, analyzes and mitigates threats to Data & Technology systems, platforms and/or networks.Investigates Cybersecurity events related to Data & Technology systems, platforms and/or networks; collecting digital evidence as required.Provides the support, administration and maintenance necessary to ensure effective and efficient Cybersecurity system/platform performance.Develop and implement efficient security processes and procedures.Ensure vulnerabilities found in the environment are documented and remediated; conducting investigations into security incidents.Server/Workstation enterprise malware real time monitoring.Vulnerability assessment and remediation prioritization of workstations, servers, database, application, and networks both external / internal.Participate in on-call group for technology support, specifically as it relates to approvals, security related incidents or disaster recovery procedures.Implement required tools to monitor access on all required Data & Technology systems, platforms and all network related appliances.Conduct product reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities.Responsible to assist in technical compliance monitoring of the OMERS Cybersecurity policy.Change Management, Approvals & Administration:Policy Management: Web Content Filtering, Anti-Malware, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Next Generation Firewall & Intrusion prevention/detection (IPS), Anti-DDoS, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Email Security, Vulnerability Management.Privileged ID Access approvals/changes.Assist in transition management of current technologies to future state.Suggest and implement new tools and efficiency improvements for security infrastructure.QUALIFICATIONS:Three to five years of direct Cybersecurity experienceThorough knowledge of Information Technology practices, procedures and operationsTechnical designations are an asset: CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIACDetailed understanding of network operating systems and networkingKnowledge about software and hardware security mechanismsIntermediate experience with Database tools for investigation, evaluation and testing of user access privileges.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to execute and deliver independentlyCollege diploma, university degree or equivalent in a related field is desirable.Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to distill complex problems down into easy to understand, consumable pieces of informationPlease note we have identified a preferred candidate for this specific role within OMERS.
