We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Information Governance Manager to work with the Director of Enterprise Information Governance (EIG) to supports the development of the Information Governance strategy, practices and capabilities, standards, procedures, and processes in order to safeguard OLG\xe2\x80\x99s information assets and deliver value through data/information to the business.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director Technology Information Governance, you will be empowered to:

Supports the overall development and implementation of the information governance strategy and framework to ensure a consistent approach to information management to ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture

Monitors compliance of IM processes, policies, and standards that guide the collection, management, manipulation, retrieval/publishing, and retention of OLG information assets to meet business, legal, regulatory and operational requirements

Supports the development and completion of assigned audit related Management Action Plans.

Provides guidance and educates business stakeholders, including business analytics teams to ensure appropriate use/sharing of information through facilitation and training

Establishes information management objectives, priorities and information lifecycle management to ensure a consistent approach to information management

Advises the business/Technology project delivery teams on the application of information management to ensure the teams are following the IM guidelines, standards and policies

Supports the day-to-day operations as well as the strategic advancement of data governance, data integration, data owners/ data stewardship, and collaborates with the business to advise on and support with their adherence to established IM standards and policies

Works with Information Management Functions (e.g. Privacy, EDRM, Security, Analytics, Enterprise Architecture etc) in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, evolution and enhancement of Information Governance processes, standards and policies such as Data Quality, Metadata Management, Records Management etc.

Enhances information systems results by identifying information systems technology opportunities and developing application strategies, along with developing standards to safeguard all information assets and shares insights with other technology leaders

Proactively identifies opportunities where additional IM needs will be required by the business and provides recommendations

Supports the EIG initiatives such as Data Capability assessments, establishment of Data Domain Councils etc. as per departmental objectives.

As Senior Manager, coach and mentor team members within the team and share best practices and knowledge.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in progressively advancing roles within Technology or related function | Minimum four (4) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of relevant Information Management experience | Providing Subject Matter Expertise and/or guidance to the team

Education: Post-secondary degree, preferably in information system, business administration and/or project management discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience | Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) certification highly desirable

Critical Skills: Primary knowledge around : Data Governance | System and Technology Integration | Middleware | Data / Information Management frameworks such as DCAM, DMBOK etc. | Data Administration | Data Warehousing | Data Movement Tools | Repository Tools | Database Structures | Content Management | Query and Database Access Tools | Object Relational Database Systems (ORDMS) | Relational Databases | Big Data Management and Analytics | Document Management Secondary knowledge around: Knowledge of Technology practices and Business Approaches | Marketplace Experiences
