What can you expect in this role?
Reporting to the Snr Manager, Finance Modernization and Continuous Improvement, this is key member of the finance team that collaborates with cross functional teams including as Enterprise Project Management office (EPMO), Technology Solutions (TS), Enterprise Change Enablement (ECE), Human Resources (HR), Data Governance (EDO) and other business teams. In this role you will focus on technology implementations impacting financial systems managing execution as a bridge between finance, TS, EPMO and external implementation partners. You will ensure the business needs are translated and into functional requirements supported by architectural roadmap and technical requirements to evaluate their feasibility. You will act as the finance lead working with TS developing test approaches and support the test plan implementation triaging and resolving issues as they arise. In your role as a financial systems specialist, you will become an Oracle Super user providing leadership and guidance to finance and non-finance members understanding system requirements. You will also assist with performance metric reporting and tracking of Organization Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s) to ensure alignment and result oriented delivery plan. You’ll use your financial, systems and master data experience with:
  • support the development of the roadmap for Finance Modernization,
  • delivery of the roadmap to meet overall organizational objectives and addresses identified process improvements or pain points,
  • contribute to cultivating a culture that drive high quality and on-time delivery,
  • oversee development and refine the backlog and overall implementation plan,
  • provide input on test approach and plan with, TS and Vendor Partner(s),
  • coordination of master data management strategy with analytical insights, adoption of policy-driven data governance and stewardship within the finance team,
  • correlate supporting business processes to data models, data mapping and transformation rules
  • provide guidance on data archiving, cleansing and retention requirements bridging business requirements and system constraints,
  • support the development of content for communication, training and standard operating procedures, and
  • produce supporting reports, presentations, and dashboards.
You will assist with developing a holistic transition from current state to target state partnering with other functional areas to drive business centric initiatives that will ensure that Finance can meet organization goals and objectives in a prescriptive and responsive approach for change drivers. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work environment will require skills to support remote work and the ability to attend some meetings or sessions at the office.   • Detail Driven – You extract findings and gather insights through data mining and analysis can prepare and document all required artifacts from ideation to post implementation tracking and reporting including call trends over time
  • Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions that involve analysis, interpretation, and assessment.

  • You demonstrate experience and knowledge of Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, Microsoft Office, database processing, low code tools such MS Power Query & MS PowerPivot, Power BI and JIRA and Confluence.
Requirements:
  • University Degree or college diploma in business, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline
  • Experience in ERP systems and implementation of ERP systems
  • Data and financial accounting and reporting experience
  • Master data cleansing and management experience an asset
  • Strong communication to effectively communicate and lead workshops across functional teams to both business and technology teams
  • Experience in the insurance industry is an asset, but not required
