Are you an experienced
network and telecommunications architect
with extensive experience in large enterprises? Do you want to work in a dynamic team, building, designing, and supporting the next generation of public sector digital and infrastructure services?
GovTechON Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) Telecommunications Branch is looking for an individual with a broad range of design and architecture experience in networking and telecommunications infrastructures/services such as:
Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN)
Local Area Networks (LAN)
Wi-Fi
Broadband & Satellite Internet services
Traditional voice & Voice Over IP (VoIP) services
Real-time video and collaboration platforms
Security components including perimeter security services, cloud-based security infrastructure, and virtual private networks (VPN)
We are seeking energetic self-starters, with strong technical and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidates should have experience developing new network products and services, re-designing network infrastructures for efficiency and continued value generation to enable digital products and services.
Your responsibilities include working closely with internal and external ministry program and engineering team members. You will interact with many other groups to define and deliver world class products in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

As a Senior I&IT Architect, you'll play a key leadership role in shaping the future of Ontario's digital infrastructure. You'll work on large, complex projects that support multiple ministries and help deliver modern, secure, and efficient public services.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design and delivery of IT architecture solutions, with a focus on infrastructure, networks, security, applications, and enterprise systems.
Support multi-ministry projects by developing smart, scalable, and secure architecture strategies.
Help define and improve architecture standards, policies, and best practices across the organization.
Identify risks in business solutions and recommend ways to reduce them.
Develop frameworks to track and manage technical debt across the enterprise.

Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, especially in infrastructure, applications, and security.
Proven experience designing cross-platform, multi-stakeholder technology solutions.
Strong understanding of IT strategies, architecture frameworks, and emerging technologies.
Ability to assess risks in existing systems and recommend mitigation strategies.
Experience with digital identity, digital credentials, and application portfolio management.
Familiarity with industry standards, performance management, change management, and service delivery.
