Position Overview
As a Senior HR Professional, you will play a key role in driving HR (Personnel and Wellness) strategy, culture, and operational excellence across a group of growing companies. This role provides expert guidance on HR strategy, workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development while leading key HR programs that strengthen culture, engagement, and business performance across the organization.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and understands how HR strategy fuels business performance, innovation, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with executive and senior leadership to align HR (PW) initiatives with business strategy, project goals, and organizational growth, including workforce planning, organizational design, succession, and culture development.
Manage the full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance development, retention, and offboarding) with consistency and compliance across multiple technical disciplines.
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, conflict resolution, and organizational change.
Support engagement and retention initiatives that strengthen culture and connection within technical and project-based teams.
Lead or collaborate on HR (PW) projects that improve systems, processes, and people programs across Solaris and its group of companies.
Ensure HR (PW) policies, handbooks, and programs reflect current legislation and best practices in the engineering and energy industries.
Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that enhance belonging and representation across all teams.
Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in all employee documentation and interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in engineering, construction, or energy sectors with 200+ employees.
Demonstrated experience supporting or advising C-suite and senior technical leaders.
CPHR designation (or in progress) preferred.
Deep understanding of Canadian employment law and HR best practices.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate HR strategies into operational results.
Proven track record in managing employee relations, organizational change, and workforce development.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with leaders at all levels.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with ADP, SharePoint, or HRIS platforms is an asset.

Compensation
The salary for this role is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The estimated range is between 70K-130K annually, depending on skills and experience.
