Department Overview
TD Auto Finance is a newly formed division within TD, bringing together the former Chrysler Financial business and TD Financing Services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic & rapidly growing business focused on providing a robust array of automotive financing options to meet our customers\' needs as well as the needs of our dealer partners. In Canada we also finance recreational and leisure vehicles, and serve the Prime and Non-Prime Auto market.

In the goal to become North America\xe2\x80\x99s #1 auto lender we are over 2,500 people strong including an external sales team located coast to coast, as well as teams in credit adjudication, funding, inside sales, loan administration, customer service, collections and recovery, and our federated functions of risk management, technology solutions, finance & human resources. Our offices are located in Canada in Toronto, ON, Brossard, QC & Nanaimo, BC and in the US in Farmington Hills, MI, Jacksonville, FL & Dallas, TX.


Under the direction of the Funding Supervisor, the Senior funder Officer is responsible for providing excellent customer service and following-up with dealers regarding the status of their approved deals. The incumbent performs all duties according to the established Funding Policies & Procedures. Provide excellent service to our dealer partners:
  • Handle incoming phone calls according to department\xe2\x80\x99s SLA.
  • Respond to phone messages/emails within departmental SLA\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams when a difficult situation arises to obtain the best possible outcome for the dealer and customer.
  • Regularly contact high volume dealers to provide assistance and guidance on deals.
  • Identify something to eliminate work from your team (increase operational efficiency and flexibility) Ensure proper escalation processes are followed and exceptions within your authority are properly documented at all times.
  • Obtain a Satisfactory Rating on the 2023 Internal Audit Review.
  • Pass the Annual SOX Audit by ensuring controls in your area are understood and adhered to.
  • Obtain 100% compliance on all KYC and AML audits.
  • Obtain Quality Index of 92% and Compliance of 85% in all CQFG quarterly review Manage Daily work volumes:
  • Maintain a satisfactory Quality Assurance score of a less than 1% error rate.
  • Ensure that bin management is done within SLA.
  • Recommend changes to processes/guidelines that may be causing customer irritants.
  • Follow up for missing/incomplete documentation on a regular and timely basis.
  • Maintain exceptional product knowledge and understanding of all procedures, products and services related to the role.
  • Exceptional knowledge of funding documents and policies so as to coach/guide dealers
  • Act as a resource for all teams and business partners
  • Contribute to the success of the business and Funding department through personal efforts to enhance own knowledge and skills. Assist others in achieving common goals and objectives and maintaining a respectful, positive work environment.

Job Requirements
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency; thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service with skills in listening, problem/conflict resolution and articulate verbal communication French and English.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with time and self-management skills sufficient to plan, prioritize and organize work.
  • Able to analyze document for accuracy, authenticity and acceptability.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with demonstrated ability to interact with peers, management, and other departments.
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment, handle a demanding work load and take on additional tasks and responsibilities.
  • Evening and weekend shift work will be required on a rotational basis.

Additional Information
  • Second School Diploma (or the equivalent).
  • Minimum 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in administration, funding, verification and customer service
