:Position: Senior Contract Administrator Location: Flexible Closing: April 21, 2023 Duration: May 2023 to March 2025 Salary: A range depending on experience level Purpose of Role: As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for managing strategic contracts that include heavy industrial construction, open pit mining, tailings dams, common site services, site accommodations, processing plants and supporting site infrastructure and roads. This project also supports local, community and indigenous initiatives and business development opportunities which this position will play a key role in its coordination. Location of Role: The Goldboro team\xe2\x80\x99s scope supports design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a remote greenfield open pit mining operation located in Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate resides in the Province of Nova Scotia or alternatively the Atlantic Region. This position will be located onsite (Goldboro, NS) once the project transitions into the construction phase on a full-time shift rotation basis(Q4-2023). This position will commence with a hybrid type work schedule consisting of working remotely (home) & occasional business travel will be required to start in May 2023 to assimilate with the Project Team. Duties include but are not limited to: \xc2\xb7 Perform and drive the activities and deliverables required to execute the procurement and contract management process including assisting in scope development, performing supply market research and positioning, soliciting requests for proposals/quotations, leading commercial evaluations, negotiations and the award of contracts and agreements
Planning, preparation, and management of the Contracting documents and process
Coordination of the technical evaluation process with internal stakeholders
Balance area requests with the joint identification of local strategic initiatives for long range value creation and overall cost reductions
Liaising with legal, risk, finance, accounting, internal discipline leads, and other stakeholders to ensure that contract terms address all related requirements and policies
Ensure Owner\xe2\x80\x99s contracts effectively define and handle the legal, commercial, and technical obligations and objectives of the parties involved so as to protect and advance Owner\xe2\x80\x99s interests
Implementing effective change management to ensure contract modifications are accurately documented and approved.
Proactively resolving issues that arise between contractors and project teams in a professional manner.
Overseeing Contractor performance in respect of their Contracts with Owner and lead Contractor steering activities
Ensuring contracts are closed out appropriately and in accordance with applicable legislation
Maintain and align project workload, outputs and processes to ensure that Supply Chain efforts contribute to and align with wider project objectives and practices
Preparing contract management reports as the need arises and present to senior leadership on contracts-related matters.
Adhering to all corporate policies, code of ethics and codes of conduct.
Performing job-related administrative duties as the need arises
Participating in Contractor, Community & Internal Project Team meetings and virtual conferences

\xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned Qualifications \xc2\xb7 7-10 years of related oil and gas or mining related industry experience in contracts and/or procurement related role
5+ years project specific field experience in a full-time capacity as part of an owners team or EPC, EPCM company.
Post secondary education from a recognized institution is required.
Supply chain designation (Supply Chain Canada Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) / Institute for Supply Management Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent
Advanced understanding of the unique requirements for performance of the Contracts and Management role in an Owner\xe2\x80\x99s team, in addition to proven dedication within an EPCM, EPC or Tier 1 Contractor organization.
Advanced understanding and experience with various contract types, costing models, strategies.
Strong understanding of various legal and commercial terms and ability to interpret, defend, apply, and rely on those terms.
Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
Able to raise awareness of contract activities which have an impact to a project.
Excellent critical and conceptual thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
