JOB SUMMARY




The

Senior Functional Analyst

will collaborate with Functional Leads, Solution Architects, Developers, and Business Analysts across all phases of the SDLC -- from requirements gathering, design, configuration, and testing to deployment and ongoing support for SAP and related applications.


This position interfaces regularly with Business Stakeholders and IT Development teams to ensure business requirements are accurately captured, designed, and implemented. The role requires a strong balance of

technical SAP SD expertise and business acumen

, with the ability to take ownership of deliverables, drive outcomes, and communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



Act as the

primary functional expert

for SAP SD, providing end-to-end support for Order-to-Cash processes including pricing, billing, shipping, and integration with MM and FI. Lead and participate in the

full SDLC

for enhancements and projects, including estimation, requirements definition, design, configuration, testing, and deployment. Design, configure, and test

SAP SD pricing, tax, and billing

scenarios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with business requirements. Collaborate with Solution Architects and cross-functional teams to design and implement

integrated enterprise solutions

across SD, FI, MM, and other modules. Partner with business stakeholders to

translate business needs into technical solutions

and recommend process improvements and best practices. Provide

technical direction and functional specifications

for custom development (user exits, BAPIs, IDocs, RFCs, and integrations). Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinate training, and manage rollout plans for new functionality. Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned business areas; provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure business continuity. Ensure compliance with IT governance and documentation standards. Mentor junior analysts and guide contractors as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Three to five years of hands-on configuration/development experience Proven track record of leading functional design and implementations through to deployment. Prior experience in SAP SD and related modules (MM/FI/WM) within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Deep expertise in SAP SD configuration, including pricing, billing, order management, and tax procedures. Strong understanding of SAP integration points with FI, MM, and other modules. Ability to analyze and translate ABAP-related requirements (Reports, User Exits, BADIs, Queries, LSMW, etc.). Hands-on experience through the complete SDLC -- scoping, requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Proficiency in functional testing, defect management, and documentation (BRDs, CRDs, configuration rationale). Excellent understanding of SAP-based web solutions and integration architecture. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across distributed teams and multiple time zones. Experience integrating SAP with eCommerce platform (Commerce Cloud) and handling related order, pricing, and inventory synchronization. Exposure to SAP Field Service Management (FSM) or similar service execution modules, including service order processing and field integration. Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA SD simplifications or readiness for system upgrade initiatives.
