Senior Financial Analyst

Our team is on the search for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our esteemed client\xe2\x80\x99s team. The successful candidate is responsible for developing key strategic business models and analysis while leading the coordination of activities for the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial planning functions. The role will report to the Controller and will be responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting. Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Coordinate and lead company\xe2\x80\x99s consolidated budgeting and forecasting process, cash flow, capex, ROI, debt ratios, and other financial and operational KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
• Build presentation materials to communicate forecast updates and annual plan.
• Lead the automation and efficiency of the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial planning process
• Develop financial models and special budget reports for the company\xe2\x80\x99s executive, board, bank, and credit agreement needs
• Prepare documents supporting external audits, working with external auditors during interim procedures and year end audit processes
• Develop capital budgeting templates and review opportunities. Calculate EBITDA, NPV, IRR payback and other key metrics
• Support other special projects and perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
• Monitoring feedback from the financial community and development of key messages to be communicated to investors
• Review business cases and provide recommendations.
• Perform other duties as required

Your strengths include:

• 5+ years experience in strategic, business, accounting or financial planning and analysis roles
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree related to Business or Finance, or equivalent, Accounting designation is an asset
• Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling and/or business valuation
• Experience quantifying and reporting business performance
• Extensive experience with forecasting and budgeting
• Mining or construction industry background preferred
• Excellent financial analysis and modeling using excel spreadsheet
• Experience with JD Edwards would be considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills (Written, verbal and presentation skills)
• Ability to present complex financial information concisely
