OverviewWe\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Senior Financial Services Coordinator to be part of a team responsible for providing financial planning, budgeting, reporting and statistical analysis, and internal control-related expertise to an assigned client group.   • Provide consultation and training to managers on accounting and budget processes, and financial policies
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and business plan
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for the Corporate Finance department by collecting and analyzing information from various sources
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports on monthly financial results and forecasts
  • Research and prepare financial cost analysis reports and distribute to users as required
  • Perform financial analysis of project proposals and business cases and conduct audits of projects as required.

  • Apply expert knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), internal controls, and Canadian Tax principles
  • Take initiative, provide leadership, delegate and monitor work, and be a motivator and mentor to your team
  • Clearly and professionally present project or task information to a variety of technical and non-technical individuals, both verbally and in writing
  • Gather and analyze information by using analytical and statistical techniques, tools, and methods to provide solutions and recommend appropriate courses of action
Your background and experience
  • Post-secondary education, plus completion of a professional accounting designation \xe2\x80\x93 CPA (CGA, CMA, CA)
  • A minimum of four years of directly related experience in private or public accounting
  • Knowledge and experience with financial systems (PeopleSoft) is an asset
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
