The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in driving performance monitoring and strategic planning for the organization, along with financial stewardship of the new ERP system. Reporting to the Manager, Finance & Decision Support Analytics, the incumbent will support enterprise-wide financial planning activities and lead the design and delivery of management reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders, including Ontario Health. This position is integral to enhancing financial transparency, enabling informed decision-making, and maintaining data integrity across all finance-related functions.
Roles and Responsibilities
:
Lead the full financial planning cycle, including multi-year/rolling forecasts, annual operating budgets, and rolling forecasts for clinical and operational programs.
Partner with Clinical ops leaders to translate clinical priorities into aligned financial plans and resource allocations.
Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to evaluate the financial impact of strategic and operational decisions.
Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly reporting packages with insightful commentary and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Identify key drivers of variances, emerging financial risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
Serve as a financial liaison for assigned departments and programs, providing timely budget updates and performance reviews.
Prepare and submit quarterly financial performance reports and budget templates to Ontario Health in accordance with transfer payment agreement (TPA) requirements.
Ensure all reporting aligns with OH reporting standards, timelines, and fiscal accountability frameworks.
Support external audit requirements by ensuring documentation and supporting analysis are audit-ready by Q3 each year.
Act as a financial data steward, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across budgeting, planning, and reporting systems.
Lead the design and implementation of new dashboards or tools for forecasting and performance measurement.
Support internal control improvements and develop process documentation to mitigate financial risk.
Provide audit support and lead the resolution of audit findings in collaboration with the accounting team.
Assist in updating financial policies and procedures to reflect current best practices compliance expectations.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; MBA or Master's in Finance is an asset.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, preferably in a healthcare or public sector environment.
Strong understanding of Ontario Health financial reporting structures and BPS accountability frameworks.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Demonstrated experience working with ERP systems, budgeting software, and data integrity oversight.
Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
