The Opportunity
We're seeking a
Financial Analyst
to support a broad range of finance activities in a growing standalone organization. The role will contribute to planning, reporting, cash management, and financial operations, with exposure across FP&A, controllership, and treasury. It is a hands-on position that combines analysis, reporting, and transactional support, providing a strong foundation for a career in corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Planning:
Support the monthly forecast cadence, consolidate regional/business unit inputs, and contribute to annual budget preparation.
Management Reporting:
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including financial bridges, trend analysis, and commentary aligned to the GL.
Cash & Banking Support:
Provide day-to-day support for cash tracking, banking administration, and payment processes (e.g., daily cash sheet preparation, supporting account setup/maintenance, assisting with wire processing).
Financial Operations:
Partner with staff accountants on reconciliations, transaction postings, and application of payments/charges to the subledger.
Process & Tools:
Contribute to standardizing templates, improving data hygiene, and supporting system tools (Excel, ERP, TM1).
Cross-Functional Support:
Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, HR, and IT to ensure accurate reflection of business activities in financial results.
Qualifications
CPA designation (or in final stages of completion).
2-5 years of progressive finance experience (FP&A, accounting, treasury, or corporate finance).
Strong Excel skills; experience with enterprise systems and planning/reporting tools (e.g., TM1, ERP, BI) an asset.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, with ability to distill analysis into clear presentations for senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to produce clear analysis and reporting (variance bridges, trend commentary, reconciliations).
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
