Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst is a detail oriented and strategically minded individual that is a key member of the Corporate Finance Team. This successful candidate will be an active participant in financial analysis and planning functions, including preparation and analysis of various financial reports, supporting the Corporate Service and staff in the preparation of forecasts and budgets, and collaborating with the accounting team on month end and year end activities. This role works closely with Corporate Services and other members of the Operational Finance teams to provide the business with relevant information to drive business decisions. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have strong communication and collaborative skills, be inquisitive, possess strong attention to detail, while also effectively managing multiple deadlines.





How You'll Help:


Have the ability to work seamlessly with cross functional teams Preparation and delivery of financial and performance Management reports, daily, weekly, monthly. Assist in the annual budgeting process from a financial perspective for Balance Sheet and SG&A's. Active participation in month end & quarter end processes by gathering information, answering inquiries, requesting journal entries and reviewing accounts. Identify, design, and implement value-added analysis that focuses on key business drivers to support decisions to optimize the business. Provide financial support to operational and administration departments through detailed financial analysis and investigations. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and track them regularly Keep the Manager of Finance, Corporate Finance informed on any progress or setbacks Other adhoc projects or requests related to financial analysis, as required




Your Skills & Experience:


Post-secondary education in Finance or Business Administration. An Accounting Designation (CPA) is ideal. 5+ years of progressive business/finance experience, including financial analysis, planning and budgeting Experience in operational finance, specifically the transportation industry an asset Exceptional numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills Leadership skills Strong organizational skills Ability to work under pressure to meet/exceed deadlines Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a team Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
