Senior Financial Analyst - Permanent Full-Time



Position Summary:



The Senior Financial Analyst is a highly motivated self-starter who seeks to understand all aspects of current Hospital capital, financial and statistical reporting. The position provides support in meeting our financial information requirements of both internal and external customers, including budgeting and planning, reporting, financial analysis and statistics and our capital.

Primary Responsibilities:



Provides complex, value-added financial analysis and evaluate financial services in a timely and accurate manner, applying financial insight to developing plans, close gaps or identity alternative action and make recommendations Develops Monthly/Quarterly and Annual financial variance and performance analysis Developing initial project budgets and detailed financial models Managing project financials, tracking funding allocations, and preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders/funders Ensuring project plans align with Ministry of Health or other governmental capital planning policies and standards Assist with audits, including coordination/preparation of audit working papers and related notes to the financial statements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications/experience:



Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field Chartered Professional Accounting designation required Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis and budgeting experience in health care environment Demonstrated leadership potential Solid understanding and working knowledge of PSAS and regulations/legislation related to areas of functional responsibility Strong people/project leadership skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, clinical and enabling services leadership, and other external partners such as the Ministry of Health, Infrastructure Ontario and the External Auditor of the organization Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills combined with critical thinking and customer-focused mindset Strategic conceptual thinker with the ability to integrate "big picture" thinking into operations Computer skills, including M365 Office, Word, Excel (advanced), Budman and Meditech Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
