Senior Financial Analyst



We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the corporate finance team.



This role will report to the Senior Director, Financial Reporting and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.



Core Responsibilities & Duties



Preparation of monthly consolidation entries, financial reports, supporting schedules and analysis Providing assistance to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting on developing and implementing accounting policies Research on complex accounting issues under IFRS - including IFRS 3, IFRS 15, IFRS 9 and IFRS 16 as well as upcoming IFRS standards. Compilation and preparation of quarterly/annual financial reporting/statements (including extensive notes) in compliance with TSX reporting deadlines Liaison with external auditors Review of financial reports submitted by international and domestic subsidiaries Preparation of subconsolidations in a multicurrency reporting environment Assistance with the preparation of quarterly tax provision working papers Leveraging ERP (NetSuite) to support the organization's finance and reporting needs Implementation of controls under ICFR framework Work with corporate accounting team to deliver timely and accurate information Utilize Workiva for preparation of financial reports, including financial statements and MD&A Other Ad-hoc projects

Qualifications and Experience

CPA or equivalent designation, public accounting experience is preferred 4+ years practical experience of the audit of/preparation of financial statements prepared under IFRS Public company reporting experience would be an asset, whether in industry or with assurance clients Well- developed attention to detail and analytical skills Strong time management skills Proven track record of providing high quality results under firm deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced excel proficiency (experience using Lookups and Pivot Tables is mandatory)
