Job Purpose:

The Senior Analyst will be a member of the Global Operations Finance team, providing support in the preparation and analysis of Global Operations monthly expense reporting, planning and forecasting, business line allocations, and project assignments.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the accuracy of the financial details for Global Operations\' expense actuals. Communicate with individuals in various Business Units on the results and explain any discrepancies. Monitor the accuracy of financial entries under the Bank\'s expense policy.
  • Support the preparation of Global Operations\' expense plan for annual profit plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Ensure the timely completion of Global Operations\' expense reasonability checks and report preparation.
  • Perform analysis of variances between planned/forecast and actual expenses for Global Operations\' multiple Business Units and provide value added commentaries
  • Work closely with GO PMO to produce meaningful analysis on strategic initiatives and project financial commitments
  • Contribute to the tracking and reporting of financial benefits for strategic initiatives across Global Operations.
  • Support the Business Line Allocation process by updating the current models and developing the necessary reports requested by Management.
  • Support efforts of building financial models, automate reporting processes and develop process controls
  • Work closely with Global Finance Technology team to address all financial systems related requests, including access issues and testing of new functionalities.
  • Participate in other projects as assigned
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We\'d love to work with you if you have:
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Financial Institution or related background
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • A good understanding of financial and management reporting principles;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, change priorities, and work accurately within tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel
  • Knowledge of EGL, OBI, Hyperion and Smart View is an asset.
