What will you do?





Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst (the "Position") is responsible for financial record management, report preparation, and processing of bi-weekly payroll for the Organization and its entities. The Position will provide support on internal and external reporting, ad hoc reporting, and be a key liaison for the Finance team within the Organization. The Position will prepare various monthly reports for variance analysis and prepare and review bank reconciliations while adhering to financial management best practices.

Job Responsibilities




Process benefit system reports and complete general ledger imports into the accounting system. Complete intercompany and vendor invoicing. Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis. Prepare month-end working papers for review as supplement to financial statements. Assist with departmental financial reporting. Process bi-weekly payroll for the Organization's and its entities. Prepare bank reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of year-end audit files for external auditors. Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting. Prepare GST returns and provincial sales tax returns. Maintain accounts receivable accounts and transactions. Provide information and recommendations regarding accounts receivable payments and issues. Assist in cost management analysis and providing recommendations. Prepare reports and presentations to assist management in decision making. Collaborate with other functional teams on cross-disciplinary initiatives. Identify and make recommendations on internal controls where applicable. Assist in calculating and reporting organizational performance measures. Other duties as assigned by the Controller in support of the Finance department.

Qualifications




Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline is considered an asset. 4-6 years of direct experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management principles. Experience and knowledge of processing Canadian payroll. Strong knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial, and local requirements regarding financial records is essential. Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar financial system considered an asset. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel. Sound mathematical reasoning, analysis, and judgement skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. High degree of interpersonal, written and oral communications skills. Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrates strong teamwork, organizational, planning and leadership skills. Ability to research and create reports. Demonstrated technical proficiency to apply knowledge of grammar, punctuation, structure, spelling, tone, proofreading, clarity, and organization. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Exemplary time management. Ability to use tact and diplomacy when handling sensitive information. Effective delivery of complex information in a clear and concise manner.
