Summary

Reporting to the Director, Financial Accounting, the candidate will be responsible for accounting and reporting activities for various segments of the business including Sponsorship, Premium Seating Programs, and Joint Ventures, as well as supporting tax return preparations and month-end procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Support month-end reporting for joint ventures, including managing chart of accounts, review of reconciliations and local subledgers, and prepare required month end entries

Support monthly and quarterly lead sheet preparation, balance sheet account reviews, and supplemental balance sheet reporting relating to the joint venture

Manage intercompany balances with parent company and joint ventures, including reconciliation of touring, marketing, and fixed cost recharges, and ensure timely invoicing

Track joint venture sponsorship contracts and program deliverables to ensure appropriate timing of revenue recognition and accurate full year forecasting

Prepare US sponsorship reporting deliverables for Joint Venture

Prepare monthly revenue and expense journals for the premium seating and membership programs and reconcile related deferred revenue accounts on a monthly basis.

Prepare monthly forecast and budget-to-actuals analysis for premium seating and member programs

Deliver monthly joint venture partner financial statements and provide an in-depth balance sheet account analysis for management and joint venture partner review

Assist in sponsorship, premium seating program, and joint venture partner audits

Support US and local tax teams in the preparation of tax provisions and local tax returns

Prepare monthly non-controlling interest journal entries

Prepare month end journals for sponsorship expenses and accruals, complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and prepare monthly variance analysis of expenses, as needed

Create and code invoices for sponsorship activities, and prepare artist settlements for sponsorship activity, and initiate required wire payments, as needed

Assist with other duties, projects, financial reporting and strategic initiatives as requested by the management team

Role Requirements:

3-5 years of experience within financial accounting

Must have CPA, CA designation or equivalent

Strong organizational & time management abilities, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience within an accounting firm is strongly preferred

Tax accounting experience is strongly preferred

Industry related experience is considered an asset

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
