As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be part of a team providing financial expertise and support to Waste and Recycling or Utilities Delivery group. Working as a partner, you will use your understanding of a business unit's operations to help with achieving its financial goals and business objectives. Primary duties include:Work with business unit representatives to collect, analyze and review information and provide explanations to prepare operating and/or capital budgets, budget status reports and monthly management reports, executive summaries, year-end and periodic financial statements, as well as forecasting variance projections.
Support Finance Lead and Finance Coordinator to prepare operating and/or capital budgets, budget status reports and monthly management reports, executive summaries, year-end and periodic financial statements, as well as forecasting variance projections.
Work with business units to review and analyze internal financial controls, risk management and business processes as required.
Review and analyze program expenses, revenues, recoveries.
Perform variance analysis through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Complete position budgets and reconciliations.
Participate on project teams or provide subject matter expertise to project groups as required.
