Role Description

The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Canada Thrombosis organization. This position will have a key role to support growth objectives and a high performance growth culture that drives outstanding business results.


Role and responsibilities:


Contracting/Analytics

  • Contribute to strategic pricing proposals and analysis of Hospital/Retail opportunities

  • Attend and contribute to commercial business reviews with key accounts

  • Liase with RBDM, SCM, and Management team to plan for successful contract implementations or changes.

  • Develop models for RFP\xe2\x80\x99s for Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and unique hospitals/hospital networks, to ensure revenue optimization and product profitability for all divisional LEO Pharma business products.

  • Assist with the opportunity analysis function and develop interactive, intuitive pricing models to position Patient Solutions Thrombosis as a competitive and value added product.

  • Manage regular tracking of yearly discounts against contract agreements and liaise with finance for monthly accruals. Provide visibility to business units on discount impact on P&L and assumptions.

  • Provide transaction and rebate reports to all LEO Pharma contract holders as agreed or upon request.

Finance

  • Partner with the business to implement dynamic planning principles.

  • Use Dynamic planning principles to anticipate future performance development and work with brand leads to identify underlying levers and develop strategies to address.

  • Streamline the planning process and create forecasting tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial forecasting and budgeting

  • Be a key resource and \xe2\x80\x9cgo to person\xe2\x80\x9d for information, training & development of planning/forecasting process and systems

  • Co-ordinate timely and accurate submission of key forecasts to the global team

  • Update planning systems and ensure accuracy of Net Sales forecasts and expense budgets

  • Review sales performance, examine revenue trends and assess market conditions on an on-going basis

  • Prepare analyses on discounts and deductions to ensure accuracy of deductions forecasts

  • Prepare presentations and analyses for Performance Reviews and forecast submissions

  • Support Commercial Leadership Team with business analysis, reports and insights to provide pro-active business decision support and steer business performance

  • Meet with key strategic members to discuss their financial results, understand things that are happening in their area, and advise on financial matters

  • Provide value-added reporting including mix analysis and develop ad hoc analysis to facilitate timely decision making to support business performance

  • Analyze full P&L variances between budgets, forecasts and actual results and complete monthly reports

  • Work with the business stakeholders to provide analysis of sales and expenses. This will include both historic trends and future expectations for ex-factory sales and cost vs activities.

  • Proactively work together with Commercial Operations team to evaluate ex-factory sales forecasts for production

  • Provide on-going support & communication within Finance team.


General

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate SOP\xe2\x80\x99s, policies and guidelines.

  • Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP\'s, guidance\xe2\x80\x99s are issued.

  • Participate in personal development and training sessions as required for the position.

  • Work in a safe manner that does not endanger yourself or co-workers. Report any health or safety concerns (internal and external) in compliance with LEO policy and standard procedures.

Job specific competencies:


  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance, Commerce or a related area required.

  • 3 to 5 years related experience in the finance function.

  • Current accounting designation within Canada, or working towards accounting designation.

  • Strong technical competence;

  • Sound knowledge of the consumer healthcare environment an asset

  • Demonstrated Project Management skills and abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work successfully with senior management

  • Strong ability to solve problems and come up with innovative solutions

  • Solid analytical and numerical abilities

  • Results-oriented attitude

  • Highly organized with attention to detail

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products; advanced user in Excel.

  • Works independently and completes tasks with minimal supervision.
