Welder / Fabricator
We are a manufacturing company that specializes in Glass Handling Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Window and Door Fabricating Equipment, as well as Custom Fabrication. Shift Schedules Available

:

DAY SHIFT: Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities/Accountabilities



Read and follow detailed welding procedures in accordance with company and CWB standards Accurately interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication Cut, fit, and weld a wide variety of metals (thin-wall tubing to heavy plate and structural steel) using MIG, Flux-Core, and other appropriate processes Perform

heavy-duty welding

while maintaining the fine control required for

thin-wall tubing applications

Build, set up, and maintain

fixtures, jigs, and custom setups

to support production and ensure repeatability Plan and prepare jobs by reviewing drawings, organizing materials, and determining the most efficient sequence of operations Provide

guidance and training

to junior welders and apprentices, helping to build team skill level and productivity Troubleshoot and resolve fit-up, distortion, and weld quality issues independently Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and innovation in improving welding processes and workflow efficiency Ensure all tasks are performed in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, adhering strictly to safety regulations and company procedures Contribute positively to a team-focused environment while maintaining the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and organized work area Be willing to work shifts, overtime, and other duties as reasonably requested by management

Minimum Qualifications



Minimum

10 years of welding/fitting experience

in a fabrication or manufacturing environment Valid

CWB certification

(MIG/FCAW) strongly preferred Proven ability to weld both

thin-wall tubing

and

heavy-duty plate/structural components

Strong background in fitting and fabricating equipment such as tables, dollies, racks, and custom assemblies Demonstrated ability to

make and set up fixtures/jigs

to support precision fabrication Strong blueprint reading and layout skills, including weld symbols and GD&T where applicable Leadership skills with experience mentoring or training junior welders/apprentices Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Excellent safety knowledge and practices Effective communicator in English, both written and oral

WORKING CONDITIONS:



Exposure to welding fumes, gases, and byproducts Exposure to loud noise requiring hearing protection Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods Physical ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach above/below waist level Manual dexterity to operate welding equipment, tools, and materials handling Ability to occasionally lift and manipulate over 50 lbs. with assistance Must be able to wear a properly fitted respirator when required Full-time position with occasional mandatory or optional overtime
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.50 per week
