Worley are currently recruiting for a Senior Expeditor

Role:

The Senior Expeditor shall help the Project to avoid delays and ensure compliance with contractual conditions and specifications as well as applicable international codes and standards. The Consultant shall actively keep an eye on deadlines and manufacturing schedules to help reach Project milestones and ensure that equipment, materials and components arrive at the right place, at the right time, in the right conditions. The Consultant shall identify potential bottlenecks in any supply to the Project and thrive to avoid costly delays and liability penalties.

Objectives

The expeditor shall ensure that, they are sufficiently skilled and competent to deliver the Service defined below.

  • Plan and report all expediting visits according to EA3 Package/Expediting manager instructions
  • Attend any inspection or meeting of different OWF Packages, on behalf of the Company as required
  • Control of the manufacturing status of the different components at factories in relation to the
  • production plans, evaluation of critical points which could affect the delivery times of the Project
  • Monitor and expedite the manufacturing of:
  • MEQ and Subcomponents (main transformer, shunt reactors, GIS HV/MV, PCM's)
  • OFSS and OFCS Components (heavy steel supplies, HVAC, FiFi, cranes)
  • IAC cable, subcomponents (FO, power cores, CPS...) and FIE's
  • FOU FIE's (pile grippers, CMS, navigation radar)
  • WTG components (towers, nacelles, blades) and FIE's (service cranes, auxiliary navigation systems, SCADA cabinets)
  • Monitor and expedite purchase orders for the component of the key supplies
  • Collect all information requested for the update of key supplies, FIE and spare parts trackers
  • Verification and control of freight forwarders and transport companies
  • Support packages for any transport issues (revision transport plan, transport follow ups, permits)
  • Control of the fulfilment of the equipment packaging, shipping and sea fastening process according to the applicable procedures
  • Manage the site interface with Marine Warranty Surveyors and issue the shipping release on behalf of the Company, as required
Role Responsibilities

Consultant main tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Production control - Monitoring production progress, manufacturing schedules, Suppliers' workload, and identifying areas of concern. The Consultant shall inspect manufacturers and assess production plans and capacity.
  • Progress reporting - Recording actual works status against the planned one and report accordingly to Project managers.
  • Field expediting - On-site inspections, Project support and expeditor review of actual order status. The Consultant shall ensure safe and correct loading, shipment and discharge at any location to ensure that the Package receive proper and undamaged goods and materials.
  • Desk expediting - Offsite monitoring of order progress at specific milestone points.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Essential:
  • MEng or BEng in related engineering discipline
  • Marine Operation (DNV OS H101, H102 or similar)
  • Fabrication and testing Offshore Structures (DNV-OS-C401, or similar, Certified Welding Inspector or NDT Level II (acc. EN ISO 9712)
  • Lifting Inspections
  • Submarine cable Inspection
  • Coating, FROSIO/ NACE Level 2 certified inspector
Experience
  • 5 years experience
Essential:
  • Demonstrate management skill in Engineering Construction Industry, quality management
  • Evidence of leading a global team
  • Supervision of multi-project teams
Desirable:
  • Evidence of working within Project Controls of major petrochemical or offshore projects
  • Demonstrate skill relating to planning & probabilistic Risk analysis Methods
  • Must have demonstrable skill in supervision of teams of people and must be able to demonstrate their ability create effective teams
  • The ability to influence others and make business decisions
  • As the role has extensive client liaison smart appearance and be ability to communicate with all levels up to top management are a must.
  • Evident success in preparing and delivering presentations in a formal setting
  • An established logical approach to Project Control needs, must be able, at all times, to keep the basic objectives in sight.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of the function in relation to the overall goals and objectives of the company
