Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects. This role leads all detailed tenders and bid submissions. The Senior Estimator ensures estimates align with project scope, schedule, and client expectations while maintaining a strong focus on profitability and risk management. The estimator also constantly reviews actual costs incurred in projects and includes this feedback in estimates.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.

Lead the estimating process for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.

Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to obtain competitive pricing and ensure reliable market data.

Identify cost-saving opportunities constructability analysis.

Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment between estimates and execution strategies.

Prepare and present estimate summaries, clarifications, and recommendations for review by management.

Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the estimating team.

Maintain and update cost databases, estimating templates, and historical project information.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
