Following strong growth, our client, a real estate developer and large-scale general contractor recognized for its multi-residential construction projects, is looking for a SENIOR ESTIMATOR capable of working primarily on multi-residential construction projects in the Greater Montreal area;

RESPONSIBILITIES:
xc3x98 Identify business opportunities in the general construction industry, primarily multi-residential, in public (SEAO, BSDQ) and private markets to increase the client's market share and reach the annual revenue target as per the employment contract;
xc3x98 Responsible for evaluating and developing construction project costs;
xc3x98 Responsible for preparing, submitting, and following up on bids;
xc3x98 Analyze bidding results and propose adjustments to improve the company's competitiveness;
xc3x98 Review plans, specifications, and bids to estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment;
xc3x98 Perform quantity take-offs to prepare bids;
xc3x98 Prepare specifications/bid sheets following the study of plans and specifications to send bid requests to various stakeholders;
xc3x98 Compare and negotiate bids received from subcontractors;
xc3x98 Search for subcontractors to expand the database;
xc3x98 Keep supplier, subcontractor, and other industry professional directories up to date;
xc3x98 Establish and maintain necessary communications with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and professionals;
xc3x98 Implement and maintain bidding, control, and reporting systems and procedures;
xc3x98 Negotiate the purchase of construction materials for the group in coordination with the project manager(s) and superintendent(s);
xc3x98 Negotiate changes and additions to subcontractor and supplier contractual agreements in coordination with the project manager(s) and superintendent(s);
Once the contract is signed and the project is awarded, in collaboration with the project manager:
xc3x98 Participate in developing the strategy for project execution within the approved schedule;
xc3x98 Participate in coordinating and managing safety prevention on construction sites;
REQUIREMENTS:
xc2xb7 Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in one or more estimator roles in construction (multi-residential / commercial or institutional)
xc2xb7 Hold a DEC or AEC in estimation, engineering, architecture, or any other relevant experience
xc2xb7 Experience in multi-residential development (Asset)
xc2xb7 Good knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit, Autodesk Build, Procore, MS Project, and estimation software
xc2xb7 Functional spoken English and excellent French
xc2xb7 Proficient in MS Office Suite
xc2xb7 Excellent knowledge of the Quebec Construction Code, laws, standards, and other regulations applicable to the multi-residential construction industry in Quebec
xc2xb7 Experience working on multiple or public tender projects (Asset)
