Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the estimating process for construction projects, ensuring that all bids are accurate and submitted on time. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a solid understanding of construction estimating, and the ability to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties

Coordinate the preparation of estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed cost estimates and proposals. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate terms. Review plans and specifications to identify potential issues or discrepancies that may impact costs. Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and communications throughout the bidding process. Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines as needed. Participate in project meetings to provide updates on estimating progress and address any concerns.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with project management principles is a plus. A background in construction or engineering is beneficial but not mandatory.
