As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a key role in shaping our projects from the very beginning. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate and timely full-cost estimates, think hard bids--covering scope, resources, equipment, and materials--to ensure competitive bids and strong project margins.



Effectively determine the bid strategies required for Chandos to be successful Prepare and coordinate full?cost estimates for all project phases--concept to tender--with a focus on collaborative methodology Lead estimating workshops to align costs with project goals and foster transparent decision?making Perform detailed material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor take?offs Establish and maintain unit costs, labour rates, escalation, and contingency allowances Solicit competitive bids, negotiate with subcontractors/suppliers, and conduct value?engineering reviews Provide constructability advice during pre?construction, coordinating with operations teams on procurement, schedule, and logistics Track estimated vs. actual costs, report variances, and support lessons learned for continuous improvement Build and maintain exceptionally strong relationships with subtrades, consultants, suppliers, and all of our valued clients

Qualifications

What You Bring



Post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction, Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of experience estimating/hard bidding on ICI projects with a mid-large general contractor (GC) (not justconcrete/mechanical/electrical) Must be experienced bidding on completed work not just prospective Proficiency in reading and interpreting specifications, blueprints, and as-builts Strong mathematical and analytical skills for developing accurate material and labour estimates, as well as interpreting job-cost reports Experience with cost-estimating software to prepare bids and quotes AutoCAD experience is considered an asset
