Senior Civil Estimator

Responsibilities

As a member of the Project Management Team; your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Read, interpret and understand contract drawings and specifications. Provide technical assistance to the Project Managers including analysis of tender drawings and preparation of quantity take-offs. Identify all costs involved in projects, and solicitation of sub-trade pricing for tenders both in person and on the phone, with follow-up analysis of sub-trade quotes. Review updated design drawings and specifications for variances in project budgeting. Review shop drawings submissions to ensure conformance to project specifications and Subcontractor's scope. Distribute updated design drawings and specifications to subcontractors, as they pertain to their trade. Preparing construction cost budgets from awarded tenders via electronic means.

Qualifications

5+ years in civil estimating Background in Civil Engineering Strong computer skills including knowledge in using MS Office and AutoCAD General project management skills (i.e. Budgeting, organizing, scheduling) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Valid Driver's License
