Our Sudbury Operations have been in existence for more than 100 years. With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations.
Our Team:
The Copper Cliff Nickel Refinery Process Technology Team is a multi-disciplinary, well-rounded team who are responsible for the optimization of metal extraction from our ore. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our people as well as ensuring our assets operator reliably and efficiently.
The Copper Cliff Nickel Refinery processes feed from other sites within Sudbury Operations, and refines it into Class 1 finished nickel products, along with copper cathode and PGM bearing by-products, that are further processed at Port Colborne Refinery.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer Metallurgy to join our Process Technology Team at the Copper Cliff Nickel Refinery in Sudbury. This is a permanent position.
The Process Technology team is responsible for providing expert advice and specialized knowledge to support the Operating and Maintenance departments in safety, process troubleshooting, plant improvement, R&D, cost control and process optimization. Your experience and skills will be utilized to assist in the development of work plans, schedules, prioritizations, and execution of continuous improvement and major process improvement projects.
