About this role Gartner Analysts help clients in different industries all around the world address their greatest challenges and continue to innovate through the delivery of best practice research and insights. This role will work exclusively with Security technical professionals (e.g., security architects, security engineers, security operations managers) to implement and execute best practices. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do As a Gartner analyst, you will be required to be both a thought leader and partner - share frame-breaking ideas but also provide actionable guidance. The expectations of your Gartner peers and clients are the following:

• Present best practices and emerging trends to Security technical professionals in 1:1 virtual meetings, teleconferences, and Conferences
• Conduct research and analysis in specific areas of expertise targeting client\xe2\x80\x99s key initiatives.
• Write high quality, clear, actionable, advisory research documents.
• Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas.
• Maintain the Gartner\xe2\x80\x99s industry leadership reputation by responding to press inquiries.
• Proactively work with the wider sales organization and deliver outstanding sales support in order to retain and grow the business.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need It helps to be obsessed with your topic! Gartner analysts are correctly viewed as THE experts. This means you need to know your markets, vendors, trends, management practices, etc. and be able to see the forest and the trees. Most Gartner analysts have many years of experience and enjoy solving puzzles.

• Technical subject matter expertise in Network Security specifically with a focus on the following:
  • Zero Trust (e.g., Zero Trust Network Access, Zero Trust Architecture)
  • Network Detection and Response
  • Microsegmentation
  • Firewalls
  • DDOS protection
  • Network Access Control
• Knowledge of the global landscape, and the competitive interplay between incumbents, emerging providers, disruptors, and outsourcers
• Analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a security architecture/engineering/operations or technology related role.
• Bachelor\'s or equivalent experience, master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred.
• Ability to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globally.
