As the

Sr. Director, Sourcing - Centre of Store

, you'll join Loblaw's Sourcing team, a group of outstanding procurement professionals accountable for purchasing products and services for more than 3,000 stores across Canada. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Centre of Store Sourcing, you'll lead a team of Sourcing Directors and be responsible for strategic supplier evaluation and supplier selection based on a set of criteria/scorecard, achieving quality specifications, identifying emerging trends and managing supplier relationships. You'll also be responsible for leveraging their deep knowledge of the suppliers and the marketplace to advise the Merchandising and Category teams on the category's short-term and long-term strategy. You'll also work with your team to provide rich insights to the business on cost inflation, supply forecasting, commodity management, competitive benchmarking, and global product innovation.

What You'll Do:



Lead supplier negotiations for strategic suppliers and drives metrics pertaining to supplier key performance indicators Oversee base business category negotiations on behalf of the enterprise that delivers better cost Determine baseline cost and changes (commodity cost changes, new item costing, commodity reviews) Initiate the process of selecting suppliers based on a set criteria or scorecard set up via the playbooks Determine baseline cost outcome for supplier audits (non-promo related) Own and make decisions on how to facilitate end-to-end supplier RFP process, aligned with the annualized enterprise procurement category playbooks Facilitate in resolution of any major inventory issues related to suppliers Collaborate with category teams for quality related issues Final decisions on costing negotiations for new and existing products Actively participate in talent cultivation, providing professional development, coaching and mentorship Proudly represent the centre of store sourcing team within the Sourcing community!

What You'll Need:



A curious mentality and positive, self-motivated demeanor. Post-secondary education in business, supply management, or equivalent experience. 5+ years in a procurement, category management, supply chain management, operations management or general management role within the meat processing industry. Ability to set priorities, deliver results and meet challenging deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Analytical approach to decision making with experience managing P&L, building sophisticated financial models and business plans. Collaboration and relationship-management skills with a clear communication style. Empathetic leadership style with effective colleague development and professional coaching skills. Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
