Join us at Sun Peaks Grand, where breathtaking mountains meet an ambitious vision. We are seeking a Senior Director of Accommodation to serve as a strategic partner in leading and elevating our accommodations portfolio.


This is not a traditional operational role-it is a senior leadership position at the forefront of our guest experience strategy and program design. We are looking for a self-starter who is equal parts strategist as they are a leader, influencer and communicator.


As a critical member of our leadership team, the Senior Director of Accommodation will be responsible for strategic planning, development and revenue growth initiatives, and project leadership across the full scope of our accommodation offerings -- including the Hotel, Residences Owners Committee, Strata council, Staff Housing, and Third-Party Managed Properties. The successful candidate will guide and influence portfolio performance, capital planning, and guest experience innovation, ensuring our accommodations align with the resort's growth targets and values-driven mission.


This role requires a forward-thinking, collaborative leader with proven experience in multi-asset hospitality management, particularly in mountain resort environments. A passion for continuous improvement, sustainable development, and delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences is essential. With limited reports, the ability to influence and work across multiple portfolios without direct ownership is critical to this function's success.


This position requires physical presence at the designated location.



Compensation Information: $110,000 to $118,000 per annum



Skills You Bring With You



Minimum 4 years' experience as a senior leader in project management and accommodation operations (with independent brands and resort destinations experience as an asset). Strong service-driven and visible leadership style that is skilled in managing and influencing diverse accommodation offerings across varying service levels, in shared services environments. Expertise in project management and enhancing service quality, with strong organizational, planning, delegation, communication and presentation skills. Ability to align departmental strategy and execution with broader destination vision, with proven success in implementing initiatives, SOPs, and leading multi-disciplinary teams. Experienced in budgeting, financial reporting, and productivity management across diverse portfolios. Degree or diploma in Hospitality or Project Management; CHA or CHGM designation preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.

Primary Responsibilities





Accommodation Operations:


The Senior Director of Accommodation is accountable for the overall success and operational excellence of all accommodation entities within Sun Peaks Grand, including the Hotel, Residences Owners Committee, Residences Strata, Staff Housing, and Third-Party Managed Properties. Provide thought leadership and strategic direction and delegate to divisional leaders to ensure Accommodation departments consistently achieve or exceed financial performance targets, with agile responses to market dynamics. Resolve systemic, cross-functional service issues by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable, organization-wide solutions. Design and enforce compliance frameworks that align brand standards with operational excellence and policy integrity. Lead the operational planning and execution of capital projects, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with long-term guest experience goals. Oversee financial stewardship for the properties, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
Team Commitment & Collaboration


Strategic leadership and alignment across Accommodation departments, ensuring annual action plans support the broader goals of all accommodation solutions, and support the greater resorts goals and mission. Mentor and empower direct reports in a culture of accountability and innovation by establishing clear expectations and performance metrics, while supporting the team in change readiness. Partner with divisional leaders and peers in shaping comprehensive Capital Budgets that reflect organizational priorities. Champion workforce development by collaborating with Employee Experience to implement succession strategies and career progression frameworks.
Sales & Revenue Management


Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to shape dynamic pricing strategies, revenue models, and forecasting tools for all resort and accommodation assets. Serve as an active RevMax team member, co-inspire sales strategies and systems that drive profitability and market growth. Direct, delegate and support teams responsible for enabling sales and revenue solutions in accommodations and regularly assess and report on iterative improvements and outcomes.
Guest Experience


Establish a unified and elevated guest experience strategy across all owned, operated, and managed accommodation properties, ensuring alignment with Sun Peaks' broader experiential vision. Identify and refine improvements to processes, procedures, and policies that enhance service delivery while reinforcing compliance and operational consistency. Oversee integration of guest experience touchpoints across all Sun Peaks accommodation activities, ensuring accommodation, mountain, and recreational offerings deliver a cohesive and seamless journey. Build and manage strategic guest relationships, addressing short- to long-term needs, shaping service strategies; leverage oversight of guest satisfaction data (e.g., Revinate) to identify trends and lead cross-functional action planning to drive service excellence.
Supplier Relationship And Engagement


Serve as the executive liaison with key business partners, fostering new strategic partnerships and sustaining relationships that enhance business performance and community integration. Lead annual reviews of brand standard compliance and cost optimization strategies to ensure alignment with operational goals and guest experience expectations. Oversee supplier evaluations by guiding RFP processes and cost-benefit analyses for procurement decisions and product lifecycle management.

Physical Requirement: (1) Constantly handling Light (L) loads: Up to 10 kg; (2) Frequently handling Medium (M) loads: Between 10-20 kg; (3) Occasionally handling Heavy (H) loads: Over 20 kg.



The role is performed predominantly indoors (I) within a hospitality environment, requiring mobility across various operational areas such as guest services, back-of-house, and meeting spaces.
