Senior Digital Content Manager

Pearson Schools Qualification is responsible for researching, designing and creating learning experiences to support school-aged learners in the UK and internationally.

As a Senior Digital Content Manager, you will be responsible for leading the production of digital content (including interactive learning activities and assessments, e-learning courses, eBooks, animations, audio and video) for online platforms and learning management systems.

You will have a background in digital content production for educational products, with experience working with technology colleagues to specify requirements and innovate around digital content tools to help improve teaching, learning and assessment processes.

You will need excellent communication skills, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to create content strategies and plans that deliver innovative learning content of outstanding quality in the most cost-effective and timely ways.

Key accountabilities:

Technology Specification:

Researching and implementing new content tool technologies (e.g. automation of quiz questions via AI)

Specifying requirements to improve systems and workflows

Ensuring escalated content issues are resolved, using deep understanding and expertise in digital content tools and their relationship to Pearson technology platforms

Communication:

Developing and communicating business cases for new digital content tool and workflow adoption that drive significant savings in content production

Working closely with colleagues driving our vendor management, ensuring our digital content tools and associated workflows are implemented successfully by vendors, as well as internal colleagues.

Project Management:

Change management, driving continuous improvement of systems and workflows relating to content production

Supporting colleagues to make informed decisions around their digital content tool choice

Planning and leading quality assurance processes, ensuring content is of the highest quality and is fit for purpose, following all of Pearson\'s principles and policies.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working on a wide variety of digital content in a range of different formats

A strong understanding of learning theory/pedagogy and assessment design

Is experienced at collaborating with a variety of different people and roles

Can work autonomously to lead on project areas and solve problems/find solutions

Is experienced at working with digital content and technology

Has excellent organisational, time management, prioritisation and planning skills

Has a sound understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and implementation within end-to-end workflow.

Role location

This is a hybrid working role across home and accessible office locations (London or Oxford).
