Senior Devops Analyst

Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Analyst you will play a pivotal role in the support, maintenance, and evolution of client's systems. This position will focus on the operational stability and enhancement of the platforms rather than core product development.

Key Responsibilities:



? Act as a point of escalation for client's systems

? Oversee and ensure the operational health, maintenance, and evolution of supported applications within controlled environments.

? Make informed decisions regarding operational procedures, incident response, and project implementations impacting supported systems.

? Evaluate alerts, troubleshoot complex issues across Linux and Windows environments, and coordinate resolution efforts, including Level 2, 24/7 production support participation.

? Verify, validate, and enhance deployment, migration, and automation strategies, ensuring adherence to team standards and regulatory requirements.

? Collaborate closely with Agile squads, Infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders, providing operational requirements and advising on technical improvements.

? Drive the adoption of modern technologies (Cloud, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD tools like Ansible, Jenkins) within legacy system contexts.

? Coordinate and participate in non-functional testing and performance tuning efforts.

Must-Have Qualifications:



? 4+ years' experience supporting, operating, and enhancing mission-critical applications, ideally within capital markets or regulated financial environments.

? Proven experience leading operational tasks or projects within a technical team structure.

? Strong scripting and automation skills ( Bash, Python, PowerShell).

? Expert knowledge of Linux and Windows OS administration and troubleshooting.

? Experience working with Big Data technologies

? knowledge of trading, clearing systems, or market data feeds.

? Experience with modern DevOps practices and tools in complex environments (e.g., Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD tools like Jenkins/Ansible, ArgoCD, Git).

? Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage incidents under pressure.

? Proven excellence in communication, collaboration, and technical documentation.

? Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$130,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Montreal, QC
