Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Development Manager that will report into the Chairman and CEO. Their team is made up of entrepreneurial, visionary, and high-performance members focused on customer satisfaction, while delivering and upholding the highest standards in residential construction and developments.

• Develop, manage, and update project schedule incorporating all phases of the project cycle.
• Managing the Development process through the necessary pre-construction phases.
• Management consulting companies to assist in the completion of all phases of the project of SPA, OPA, Rezoning and all related permits.
• Working closely with the designated external consultants to ensure that the project tracks effectively against timelines.
• Coordinate with the necessary permitting authorities for the receipt of regulatory permits for these projects. Work closely with municipal staff and other approval agencies.
• Prepare application packages necessary for submission to the regulatory bodies for the property development.
• Liaise with Government Authorities, Consulting teams.
• Be informed and involved in the project from the planning stages.
• Maintain document control, database management, track project activities and team communication.
• Assist project team and team lead in strategic meetings and follow up with meeting notes and actions
• Monitor and modify project schedules as assigned.
• Provide project-related information as required by sales, operations, and other teams.
• Responsible for overall development project management from assistance with project conception to execution and closeout.

• 5-10+ years of professional local Canadian work experience in real estate project planning with experience in a variety of residential or commercial projects ideally in YORK REGION**
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills in dealing with owner groups and consultants.
• Completion of an Undergraduate degree in urban planning, engineering, real estate, architecture, or a related field is an asset.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrable experience with essential development contracts such as contracts for architectural services, engineering services, and general contracting services.
• Demonstrable experience with permitting agencies, either as an architect or owners\' project manager.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
• Understanding of construction drawings and specifications is an asset.
