Our client is at the forefront of innovative hospitality design, blending modern concepts to create memorable dining, cafe and hospitality space experiences across Canada and the USA. They have a strong ability to translate brand identities into vibrant, functional spaces that captivate and delight guests. They are looking for an exceptionally talented and top tier Senior Architectural Designer to join the team to work on some dynamic hospitality projects across the USA.THE ROLE
Position Overview: Are you a top tier, Senior Designer? In this role you will be a key player in crafting stunning, impactful hospitality and restaurant environments from concept to completion, leading the design on a variety of small and large projects. Join a passionate team and unleash your creativity as you develop detailed designs bring visionary ideas to life, ensuring every project is of a high standard and meeting the expectations of clients. You will work with unique projects where creativity and unique solutions are required.Key Responsibilities:

• Creative Design & Documentation:

• Lead the charge in developing detailed, innovative design solutions.
• Conceptualize in three dimensions and produce a plan that works
• Produce partis/concepts that recognize the essentials of brand and also incorporate design considerations such as local relevance
• Innovative Design Activities:

• Dive into programming, code research, and material selection to build inspiring spaces.
• Skillfully layout program components and master area calculations for unique projects.
• Communicate the design concept and plan skillfully to clients and stakeholders
• Dynamic Site Evaluation:

• Conduct thorough site assessments and surveys, ensuring designs are perfectly aligned with their environment.
• Comprehensive Project Coordination & Review:

• Review and perfect project deliverables, from products to services and shop drawings.
• Orchestrate permit processes and coordinate with engineers and consultants for seamless revisions.
• Engage with contractors, sub-consultants, and building authorities to tackle construction challenges and document outcomes.

WHAT\'S REQUIRED

• Minimum 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5+ years focused more on front end and conceptual design
• Several years of experience working with hospitality and commercial projects such as restaurants, cafes, bars, etc., or if limited experience, then a strong interest in the sector.
• Proficient in navigating and applying building codes.
• An educational background in architecture or interior design or a related post-secondary education.
• Professional registration with an architectural association is an asset
• Some experience working with hospitality projects strongly preferred
