The RAN Optimization team combines RF skillsets with deep RAN domain expertise in LTE & 5G technologies, integrated with data science, advanced analytics, automation, and AI acumen.



You will design, develop, and implement strategies that maximize the Radio Access Network's performance and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Together, we will solve complex network problems by translating technical Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) into customer-centric insights and business outcomes that drive growth and keep TELUS ahead of the competition




What you'll do






Support the launch of TELUS's latest wireless technology innovations, including Open RAN, from a performance management perspective Analyze the impact of network upgrades on performance Optimize network KPIs to meet targets, understand customer experience by identifying trends, and troubleshoot issues to ensure an exceptional customer experience Lead monitoring and optimization efforts for special events (sport games, concerts) to guarantee robust network performance during periods of high demand Integrate new End to End customer-centric metrics by leveraging additional datasets (crowdsource, Netscout, Applogic, etc.) to pinpoint customer optimization opportunities Translate technical network improvement metrics into tangible business impacts, focusing on service and customer perspectives Drive automation initiatives to boost operational efficiencies and scale optimization efforts Champion the adoption of AI/ML techniques to predict, prevent, and resolve network performance issues

What you bring






7+ years of experience in RAN performance engineering and optimization with Telco operators or vendors. In-depth understanding of RAN systems, including 5G SA, NSA, and LTE as well as emerging technologies such as Network Slicing and Voice over new radio (VoNR) Strong troubleshooting capabilities for identifying root causes of network performance issues. Proven analytical acumen with the ability to correlate complex datasets. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for RAN and Open RAN technologies. Experience in strategic thinking and a bias for action and driving change. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.



Great-to-haves






Google Cloud Platform knowledge. Familiarity with data science, machine learning and AI techniques, particularly anomaly detection models. Experience with crowdsourced data platforms, Netscout, Applogic, or similar network analytics tools.

Salary Range: $103,000-$155,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
