OSS network DevOps is on the forefront to develop a highly secure management network. This Engineering team is responsible for architect and design of TELUS OSS Network highly secure connectivity for management. The team is currently going through transformation to support new networking technologies such as software-defined networking (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), cloud networking & Automation.

As a Senior Design Specialist, you are passionate about applying your technical abilities and learning new skills touching multiple area like system, security and technology. Here is the opportunity to make your mark by working with project team to provide management design solutions and connectivity. What you\'ll do

• Partner with internal and external stakeholder teams to identify & capture Projects requirements to provide management and connectivity design based on industry trend, technology advancement, reliability and security requirement
• Worked closely with CSO team and the team to keep the governance rules up to date and in alignment of the industry and technology trend
• Bring your technical knowledge and worked with the automation team to transform easy and repetitive tasks in automation solution

Qualifications

What you bring

• Valued for your deep knowledge of OSS network, software theory, practice, concepts and technology relevant to organizational vision
• Capacity to develop secure management design
• Distinguished for your communication, facilitation and presentation skills
• Acknowledged of internetworking technologies and multiple network protocols (i.e. ATM, SONET, DWDM, frame relay, IP, Gigabit Ethernet, MPLS/VPN and QOS)
• Experience with NFV, GCP or other Cloud infrastructure
• Competency in Network Security, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Protocols, Networking Standards
• Ability to articulate and resolve complex project related problems and execute innovative solutions
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in management network, network infrastructure, engineering, design and architecture

Great-to-haves

• Self-starter and able to adapt readily to fast-paced changes
• Experience with GCP/Elastic Search/my World/Spatial NET
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills
