Become a core member of the Professional Services team and the Managed Services Center of Excellence within Bell Business Markets (BBM). BBM offers a wide range of networking, communications, and security solutions for the enterprise market. This position represents a great technical leadership opportunity and is a key factor for the success of our professional services (PS / MS) portfolio. The PS and MS teams are two of three integral teams (Professional Services, Connectivity Services, and Managed Services) that collectively provide complete network solutions to our customers. The PS team is responsible for the design and implementation of these solutions while working alongside the other two teams that form the BBM network.

Position Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Delivery Solutions, the Delivery Solution Architect is responsible for the architecture, engineering design and integration of customized solutions (LAN / WAN / Security / SDWAN / Cloud / Data Centre / Fortinet / Cisco / Juniper / Infoblox / Gemalto / Palo Alto) to meet the needs of large business customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Governance/Architecture
  • Maintain the business requirement roadmap
  • Integrate different technology layers in an overall architecture
  • Understand IT market evolution and how it translates to the business
  • Technology lead in new projects
  • Participate in IT governance milestone
  • Experience on high available designs/systems. This includes:
  • Fortinet SDWAN
  • Technical Authority
  • Lead the technical virtual team assigned to a client/project
  • Overlook IT projects and provide direction/recommendations
  • Lead the delivery of large and complex projects
  • Technology reference on the account
  • Validate delivery strategy of complex projects
  • Participate in resolution of architecture related problems
  • Overlook the evolution of scope during delivery and adapt the strategy
  • Design Authority
  • Design networking solutions based on business needs. Produce drawings and specifications for achievement of tasks related to the selected solutions.
  • Write, participate and coordinate service offers with a view to ensure the quality of the documents produced in an acceptable timeframe that satisfies the technical and legal requirements between the customer and Bell.
  • Produce plans for new solution introduction and tests when required.
  • Produce and draft technical reports on request for the client or management.
  • Consulting Experience
  • Business acumen \xe2\x80\x93 customer focused and experience working with external customers
  • Ability to identify and convert opportunities into professional services engagements
  • Conduct customer needs analysis and prepare professional service scope of work, proposal, and contract documents
  • Analytical and innovative \xe2\x80\x93 ability to collect data, analyze information and develop feasible recommendations
  • Ability to translate technical issues into business benefits and opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations
  • Recommend upgrades, improvements or technological changes in order to maintain network infrastructure operable and effective
Critical Qualifications
  • Secret Clearance (Level II)
  • Telecommunications or Computer Sciences or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the field of telecommunications
  • Advanced Network Routing, Switching, Wireless, Security skills \xe2\x80\x93 Architectural Design, implementation and troubleshooting
  • In depth knowledge of LAN / WAN / Security / SDWAN / Cloud / Data Centre / Cisco / Fortinet / Juniper / Infoblox / Gemalto / Palo Alto / Big IP F5
  • Certifications: Fortinet NSE 7 \xe2\x80\x93 Fortinet SDWAN
  • Following certifications are considered to be an asset: CCIE or CCNP/DP (Network or DC), Juniper (JNCIE-ENT, JNCIE-SEC, JNCIE-DC), VMware VeloCloud and NSX, Viptella
  • Operating systems: Windows 10, Server 2016 and Server 2019 (or later). Basic Linux knowledge required
  • Microsoft Azure experience
  • Performance sizing and troubleshooting
  • Database experience
  • x86 server hardware experience
  • Storage Area Network experience, including SAN fabric, SAN storage, and SAN attached backup systems required
  • vSphere experience
  • Active Directory experience
  • Experience with datacenter switching hardware
  • Experience with MS Office, Sniffer (Ethereal), Chariot, Vivanet Network Assessor, OSs:, W7)
  • Advanced Verbal, Written and Presentation Skills (Report Writing, Presentation skills, interpersonal skills)
  • Microsoft Office, WORD, EXCEL, Power Point and Visio skills are required
  • IP Telephony Basics (RTP, RTCP, H.323, SIP, etc.)
  • Experience with Running Large IP Networks (Troubleshooting skills, Best Practices, Customer Perspective, etc.)
  • Application Experience (DNS/DHCP /Microsoft(MCSE on 2007 +), MS Exchange
