Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.The Senior Data Analyst will be part of the Toronto based Financial System & Workflows Team within the Investment Finance & Valuations Division, reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Systems & Workflow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and a proven track record of delivering actionable insights to drive business decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst will shape the development of the portfolio analytics capabilities for the Investment Finance & Valuations team. The role will lead various data analytics initiatives and deliver innovative solutions to Investment Finance & Valuations and partner divisions. To succeed in this role, the ideal individual needs strong attention to detail, have experience in leading data analysts, and have a proven ability to build relationships among the business groups. Our flexible hybrid work guideline requires teams to come to the office a minimum of 3+ days per week.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and develop comprehensive interactive dashboards and reporting leveraging Power BI or similar business intelligence toolsWork across functional areas and with business stakeholders to understand and identify data and reporting objectives to develop relevant capabilitiesIntegrate data from various sources to create a unified view for analysis, and utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze data and generate insightsCollaborate with data engineers to ensure the availability and quality of data for analysisEvaluate, analyze, and recommend potential solutions that enhance analytics and reportingEffectively communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders, and prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentationsEvaluate and recommend new tools and technologies for data analysis and be well acquainted with current industry trends and advancements in data analyticsLead data-focused projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project deliveryDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methodologies, transformation processes, business rules, and user guidesContribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and proceduresLead and mentor the Data Analysts, and provide guidance on best practices, methodologies, and tools for data analysis, as well as training a support for the teamQUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of proven experience as a data analyst in a financial management and investment support environmentBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar disciplineRelevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or similar are considered an assetAdvanced proficiency with PowerBI and other data visualization toolsStrong proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Alteryx, Python, R, or similarStrong SQL skills for data extraction and management, and familiarity with Azure technologiesStrong knowledge of statistical methods and data visualization techniquesFamiliarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques and experience implementing predictive modelsStrong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and solve data errors within a data governance frameworkExcellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to effectively convey complex findings and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, with strong project management skillsAbility to maintain an innovative mindset focused on delivering business value in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAs one of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s largest defined benefit pension plans, our people-first culture is at its best when our workforce reflects the communities we live and work \xe2\x80\x94 and the members we proudly serve.From hire to retire, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process that extends all the way through your employee experience.
