Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join our Investment Finance and Valuations team in Toronto.In this role, you will be responsible for activities that support the valuation and analysis of OMERS infrastructure investments. Primary responsibilities include development of valuation models and reporting, asset and portfolio analytics and various other activities in support of both the Finance and Investment teams, as required.To support these responsibilities, the successful candidate must have a growth mindset, and strong interpersonal skills coupled with experience in financial reporting and analysis and financial modeling.We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members. Our flexible hybrid work guideline requires teams to come to the office a minimum of 4 days per week.As a member of the OMERS Investment Finance & Valuations Team, you will be responsible for:Preparing infrastructure portfolio investment valuations on a quarterly basis, including the development of valuation models (e.g., discounted cash flow and comparable company) and drafting reportingIdentifying and understanding value drivers and investment risks across portfolio assetsCollecting market data using CapitalIQ and Bloomberg as well as performing other industry and market research to inform portfolio valuationsLiaising with Investment and Risk Teams to review past performance, strategy, outlook, regulatory and other relevant and emerging issues that impact the valuation of portfolio investmentsPerforming asset and/or portfolio level sensitivities to understand the valuation impact of changes in assumptionsMonitoring market events and analyzing the potential impact these events may have on portfolio asset valuationsWorking with external auditors and independent valuators to support valuation conclusionsAssisting with other financial reporting valuation requirements such as impairment testing, purchase price allocations or other valuations disclosuresProviding ongoing assistance to the Finance Team, Investment Team, Risk team or other corporate functions, as requiredAssisting with the preparation of internal and external financial reports prepared by the Finance Reporting Team, as requiredParticipating in other special projects, as requiredTo succeed in this role, you have:Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline2-3 years of relevant valuation experienceChartered Business Valuation (CBV) and other professional designations such as the CPA or CFA designation, or enrollment in either program of studies, is an assetStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level) and the ability to work with complex financial modelsPrior working experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx) is an assetExcellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present findings in a concise and professional mannerStrong team player able to operate in a fast-paced environment under time-sensitive deadlinesAbility to build effective working relationships across the organizationAs one of Canadas largest defined benefit pension plans, our people-first culture is at its best when our workforce reflects the communities where we live and work and the members we proudly serve.From hire to retire, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process that extends all the way through your employee experience.
